I am really glad it is Tuesday because I have a chiropractor appointment tonight. If you have ever been to a chiropractor then you know what it is like when you find one that is amazing. I had been through 4 (yes FOUR) before I found the one I have now and I am very glad. She is worth the drive back to where I used to live.
I signed up for classes last week and I am probably looking up textbooks as you read this. I am very excited about school starting up. (is that weird?) I guess I am just a little brainy at heart, even though I tend to dislike schoolwork that is in the form of 12 page papers and speeches.
Last night I had MY FIRST RUN since taking a solid week (actually 8 days) straight off from running.
Because I have new shoes now, as well as fancy inserts that I got at Fleet Feet, I think my run was 20 times better than it would have been if I had jumped back with my old shoes. I think I am officially retiring them from running.
I ran 3 miles (even though it was supposed to be 4) and I felt good considering. I think my legs just felt heavy because they were not used to running at all. My splits were 9:01, 9:24 and 9:35.
Clearly I suffer from that thing where you are excited to be out running and go too fast and then you go back down to where you are supposed to be.
I forgot my Garmin at home. I was extremely bummed about this because Garmin's make runs better I have decided. I just used my trusty RunKeeper app and it worked just fine.
I did a different loop through my moms neighborhood
and then came back to watch the Bachelorette. Cryfest.
I don't normally cry for realty tv, but I will admit I was practically sobbing when Brooks and Des were talking by the ocean. I don't know if as a girl it struck a cord with being let down my a guy, but I felt her pain and she just looked so sad I was crushed with her.
Go home Brooks.
Anyway! I hope you are having a wonderful morning and spending it doing what you love:)
Are you watching the Bachelorette?
Do you go to the chiropractor?
What is the longest you have ever taken off from running?
